Team Z ties the score at 3-3, but the momentum quickly shifts as Nagi Seishiro begins to play with his own initiative, scoring a stunning goal from an impossible angle. Kuon, watching from the sidelines, feels conflicted about his betrayal and questions whether Team Z could truly win.
Chapter 33: Attack Waves
Team Z strategizes to counter Nagi’s explosive growth. Kiyoshi uses his spatial awareness to predict Nagi’s movements and intercepts his plays. With teamwork and determination, Kunigami scores an equalizing goal, bringing the score to 4-4.
Chapter 34: At This Rate
Kuon’s backstory is revealed, showing his frustrations with unmotivated teammates in the past and his decision to betray Team Z for survival. However, seeing his teammates fight desperately, Kuon redeems himself by fouling Nagi, earning a red card but giving Team Z a fighting chance.
Chapter 35: Last Chance
With Kuon’s sacrifice, Team Z clings to their hopes of victory. Team V, furious and determined, launches relentless attacks. However, Team Z’s defense, led by Gagamaru and Raichi, holds firm, setting the stage for a final counterattack.
Chapter 36: Right Here
Team Z launches a decisive counterattack. Kiyoshi uses his spatial awareness to create opportunities, and the team works in perfect harmony. Meanwhile, Kuon reflects on his actions and silently supports his team from the sidelines.
Chapter 37: The Last Piece
In a dramatic showdown, Kiyoshi faces off against Nagi. Despite Nagi’s overwhelming skill, Kiyoshi finally discovers the missing piece of his formula for success: the direct shot. With this newfound skill, he scores the winning goal, securing Team Z’s 5-4 victory.
Chapter 38: More
Team Z celebrates their hard-fought victory, while Raichi delivers a punch to Kuon for his betrayal. The results of the First Selection are announced, with Team Z and Team V advancing. Individual players from other teams, including Barou and Futako, also survive.
Chapter 39: Hungry
The survivors undergo intense physical training to prepare for the next stage. Exhausted and pushed to their limits, the players reflect on their journey so far. The bonds within Team Z grow stronger, even as they prepare for the challenges ahead.
Chapter 40: Second Selection
The Second Selection is unveiled, with five stages designed to test the players’ abilities to their limits. The enigmatic Rin Itoshi makes his debut, showcasing his immense talent and ego, setting the tone for the next phase of the competition.
