Will the “monster” that fuels Isagi’s ego be enough to take down the prodigy striker Rin Itoshi?!
Blue Lock Volume 9: Summary
The volume begins with Isagi’s team debating who to recruit. Nagi suggests Reo due to his balanced skills, while Barou leans toward Kunigami for his physical presence. However, Isagi prioritizes chemistry and chooses Chigiri, recognizing his ability to complement their playstyle. This decision deepens the rift between Nagi and Reo, leaving Reo despondent but resolute to push forward with Kunigami’s encouragement.
The new team dynamics bring challenges and comedic moments, such as Barou’s clean-freak habits clashing with Nagi and Chigiri’s messy tendencies. Meanwhile, Rin and his team prepare for their next battle, showcasing Rin’s intense mindset and mastery of the game.

Chigiri scores the opening goal through teamwork, but Rin quickly retaliates, displaying his superior skill and vision. The game sees breathtaking moments, including Nagi stepping out of Reo’s shadow to assert his unique playstyle and Isagi using his foresight to challenge Rin’s dominance.
